Life Updates!

Hi Guys!
Long time no speak! Its been like a decade since we last spoke..
So I have a couple of life updates for ya. I have been wanting to start the blog back up and am finally getting around to it now that I have some free time. Since my last post in 2016, I have moved, gone to High school, taken culinary classes there, then went on to go to CIA, the Culinary Institute of America, and get my bachelor's in Food Business Management with an associate's degree in Baking and Pastry. I did my externship at The Boca Raton Resort, which was amazing, and the property is absolutely gorgeous! I have learned so many things about the Food/Hospitality industry and can't wait to see where life takes me next! Wish me Luck!
I will include some photos of my work from school and extern. Also, if you want to follow me on Social media, my baking account is @Trinidybakes on Instagram! I will try to be more consistent on my platforms and build more with the content thing. I already have a few posts planned. For now enjoy this college recap and stay tuned for more <3

Bunnies!

So for thanksgiving I Made lemon lime mini bundt cakes!
So I found a regular lemon bundt cake recipe and modified it. Here is my modified recipe:

Bundt cake mold
3 cups of flour
3 cups of sugar
1 1/2 cups of butter
5 medium eggs
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of lime juice
1 tablespoon of lemon extract

Instructions:
Combine ingredients
Butter or spray mold
Pour about half of the mold and bake 55 for oven and for bakery bites express (I used this) 5 minutes per batch
Take out when done put onto pan and let cool
Serve when done.

I'm sure your wondering why this post is titled bunnies I will tell you.I made this for thanksgiving when my family was over and my grandma saw them and said " let me get one of those bunnies" because she didn't know they were pronounced bundt cakes.

Cookies

So a couple days ago me and my mom made sugar cookies! They were delicious.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients : 3 1/2 cups of flour, 8 tablespoons of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of almond extract or whatever extract you have.

Directions : First , preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Next, mix together the butter and sugar until smooth. Then mix in the flour a cup at a time while putting in the eggs in between the cups of flour. Now it is time to mix in your extracts. If you just want to use one that's fine just do 2 teaspoons of it. I used 2  vanilla and almond. Since I used two I put 1 teaspoon of each. You need 2 teaspoon of extract all together. You don't have to use vanilla and almond extracts like I did you  it all depends on what kind of flavor you want in your cookies. Then, you can use a spoon and put a dollop of dough on the cookies sheet or like I did flour your hands and pick up some dough roll it into a ball and put it on the cookie sheet. Lastly, put your cookies in your preheated oven and put on a timer for 10-12 minutes.  When the timer beeps take the cookies out and stick a tooth pick in them it part of the cookie come off onto the tooth pick put them back in the oven if not they are done. Enjoy!

Brownies!

So yesterday I made  snicker-doodle brownies with a mix I bought. It turned out good. All I had to do is pour the mix add water and butter and an egg for the brownie mix. For the cookie same thing except no egg. Then I poured the brownie mix in a 8x8 square pan then put a few dollops of the cookie mix on top of the brownie. Lastly, I put it in the oven for 43-46 minutes.
Here are some pics of the end result:

Hey!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been busy.
The last thing I have baked was those sugar cookies. I have been busy with school and everything well now it is summer break. So I have more time to post!! So I might be baking with my bakery bites express instead of an oven because using the oven will make the house hot. It is 90 degrees today where I live so it is hot without the oven.
 So stay cool out there!

Baking cookies

Hey hey hey hey!   Hey guys sorry I haven't posted in a while but today  I baked something!
Well clearly you know what it is because of the title but still! I baked cookies today whoo hoo! They are sugar cookies btw. Here is the recipe: Preheat at 350 degrees F and prepare your cookie sheet with parchment paper . Then, combine 2 cups of sugar with 8 tablespoons of butter which equals a stick. Next, add 3 1/2 cups of flour and 2 large eggs. Then, add (optional) a spoonful of whatever cream cheese of your choice. Next, add 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract or (optional) 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of almond extract. Mix it alltoger and put flour on your hands. Once you have put the flour on your hands so the dough doesn't stick to your hands roll the dough into balls and put on the sheet. Once you are done rolling put the cookie dough in the oven for 9-11 minutes. Here is a pic of my end result. Enjoy!
